  1. A-Frame Area : Just five km south of Simon's Town you will find a small area with a few simple and shallow dive sites.
    1. A Frame : A-Frame is said to be named after a cave's opening resembling the letter A.
    2. Froggy Pond : Froggy Pond is a rocky dive site filled with seaweed, octopi and cuttlefish as the top marine attractions.
    3. Windmill Beach : Windmill Beach is a training dive site where you will find some small rocks covered in kelp.
  2. Aster : The scuttled shipwreck Aster has extended the already great artificial reef near Hout Bay significantly.

  5. Clan Stuart, Brunswick, Bata : The Clan Stuart, Brunswick and Bata are three old wrecks from England which needs permission from the navy if you would like to dive it.
  6. Clifton Rocks : Clifton Rocks is a collection of boulders amidst huge kelp forest and excellent swimmthroughs.
  7. Geldkis : Geldkis is a cold Atlantic dive site offering boulders that have created a small chimney.
  8. Gordon's Bay :
    1. Balcony : One of the sheltered spots around Gordon Bay is the Balcony, great for a dive out of season.
    2. Coral Gardens : Almost any destination has a dive site called Coral Gardens, the one in False Bay is stunning.
    3. Cow & Calf : Reef and boulder dive site Cow and Calf is easy and popular by trainees.

    5. Percy's : Visit dive site Percy's to dive on sponges, sea fans and kelp.
    6. Pinnacle :
    7. Steenbras Deep : One of the more popular dives in Gordon's Bay is Steenbras Deep.

  9. Katzmaru : The oriental shipwreck the Katzmaru or Katsu Maru makes a great but deep wreck dive.
    1. Outer Castle : Outer Castle is the dive named after a huge boulder touching the surface at low tide.
    2. Partridge Point : Visit Partridge Point for some of the best chances of diving with seals.

    7. SAS Pietermaritzburg : Scuba diving at the SAS Pietermaritzburg or HMS Pelorus while re-tracking its importance during D-Day, WWII.
    8. Smitswinkel Bay Wrecks : Scuttling five fantastic wrecks near each other in the 1970s created one of South Africa's best wreck graveyard.
      1. Spaniard Rock : Spaniard Rock is a large rock named because the bright red and yellow colours reminded divers of Spain.
      2. Sunny Cove :
      1. Knysna : Diving Knysna is great but its unpredictable weather and ever changing viz have made it a region not for all level of divers.
        1. Bruce Se Bank : One of the best diving locations outside the Heads of Knysna is Bruse Se Bank.
        2. Paquita Wreck : The Paquita Wreck was an old German sail ship that struck Knysna Heads in the beginning of the 19th century.
        3. Tapas Jetty : One of the lagoon dive sites named Tapas Jetty is famous for tiny animals such as the Knysna seahorse.
      2. Mossel Bay : Mossel Bay offers reef diving as well but became favourite because of its cage diving with the great white sharks.
      3. Phantom Wreck : Scuba diving the mysterious Phantom Wreck or Piesang is best done with a local guide as it is hard to find.

          1. Avalanche Reef : A spectacular reef wall dive with enormous amounts of fish can be found at Avalanche Reef.
          2. Bell Bouy or Roman Rocks : Bell Bouy is a popular reef full of red roman fish reachable from Hobie Beach.
          3. Brenton Island : Brenton Island sits next to St Croix Island and has the same underwater landscape of dropoffs, caverns, walls and caves.
          4. Brenton Wreck : Brenton Wreck is a small fishing trailer popular by fishermen as well as divers for its gamefish.
          5. Cracker : Mussel Cracker is the most common species found around this pinnacle.
          6. Crossroads : A well known area for sharks is Crossroads where you will find ragged tooth, leopard, pyjama and shy sharks.
          7. Devil's Reef : Devil's Reef can be reached after only a 150m swim dropping you right onto the reef.
          8. Evans Peak : Evans Peak is a huge pinnacle dive site often surrounded with raggies.
          9. Gasmic Reef : Gasmic Reef consists out of a in hard and soft corals decorated narrow gorge.
          10. Gunner's Rock : An unnamed wreck found in 2002 is named Gunner's Rock after its huge gund which have been found on deck.
          11. Haerlem Wreck : A navy frigate named Haerlem Wreck was scuttled in Algoa Bay to form an extra artificial reef.
          12. John Dory's Reef : John Dory's Reef is an unspoiled secluded reef which lacks the huge crowds.
          13. Patti Wreck : A shallow wreck named Patti hit the reef in 1976.
          14. Phillips Reef : Near Hobie beach we have a spectacular gully featured reef named Phillips Reef.
          15. Raggie Sands : Raggie Sands is a labyrinth of gullies and a popular home to tens of ragged tooth sharks.
          16. Riy Banks : Riy Banks is a deep dive site famous for its steep and colourfull walls.
          17. Shark Rock Pier : Shark Rock Pier is a startoff point for reaching the many small reefs at just a stone's throw away.
          18. Slipway and Postmans : Slipway and Postmans is a popular shore dive mostly used by trainees.
          19. St. Croix Island : Pitoresque St. Croix Island is famous for its walls, caves and even penguins are occasionally seen.
          20. Suicide Reef : Suicide Reef is a thrilling reef with caves, walls, and big marine life.
          21. Thunderbolt Reef : One of the wildsite divesites is Thunderbolt, diving amidst boulders, steep walls and gullies.
          22. White Sands : White Sands is a popular reef with many narrow gulleys separated by patches of white sand.
          23. Zephyr's Wall : Zephyr's Wall is an eighty meter long ridge with gamefish and strong currents.
            1. Aliwal Shoal : Aliwal Shoal is a small submerged reef which has become famous for the thousands of ragged tooth sharks that live here in winter.
              1. MV Produce : The MV Produce was a huge molasses tanker that sank when she struck northeast pinnacle at Aliwal Shoal.
              2. Nebo Wreck : The Nebo was an old railway transport vessel who probably capsized because of a huge wave just one km northwest of Aliwal Shoal.
              3. Raggie Cave, Shark Alley : Raggies Cave is a huge cave where many ragged tooth sharks congregate creating an area often referred to as Shark Alley.

              1. Cageless Baited Shark Diving : Try diving with Tiger Sharks without the uge of cages and when bait is used to feed them.
              2. North Pinnacle : Northern Pinnacles is a hard to find, remote but spectacular shark reef dive.
              3. Sardine Run : Watching the huge yearly migration of Sardines during the Sardine Run obviously attracting many predators.
              4. South Pinnacle : South Pinnacle is known for the Zambezi Shark, Guitar Sharks and Hammerheads are also often spotted.
              1. 2 Mile Reef : Two mile reef is because of its proximity to Durban and shallowness without doubt Sodwana's most favourite dive destination.

              2. 5 Mile Reef : Diving at 5 Mile Reef, Sodwana Bay
                1. Hotspot : Hotspot is another two meter high ledge of one hundred meters where zambezi and tiger sharks have been reported.

              1. Badgat : Badgat is a famous inland freshwater cave system formed out of one of South Africa's flooded asbestos mines.
              2. Bushman's Hole : Bushman's Hole is with 270m the world's third deepest freshwater cave system in the world.
