Mossel Bay is one of the area's in South Africa famous for its shark cage diving. It is possible to sit, fully geared up, inside a 2x2 meter large cage seeing the great whites being fed. Expect a huge adrenaline shock as it is not unlikely that sharks bang into the cage in their feast. It is for adventurous divers and non divers only! Mossel Bay is a sheltered bay and has one of the mildest climates in the world, feeling like a Mediterranean-style seaside town. The great whites roam this area from April to October and you can often see them hunting after the seal colony that live at a small island just inside the bay. Other species you can be interested in are orcas, penguins, dolphins, sea birds and migrating whales inhabit the bay between September and November. Because of the diversity and numbers of wildlife it is a marine biologist's dream to visit this place.

There are many other diving opportunities as well. Some dive sites in and outside the bay are Klein Brak River Mouth, Stingray Reef, Santos Reef, Mitch's Reef, Dolosse and Windvogel Reef. Updates on these are coming soon.
