Clifton Rocks is one of the most popular dives located just a few kilometers southwest of Cape Town at the Atlantic coast. It is an area littered with boulders creating excellent swimmthroughs and hiding places for marine life. There are several patches of healthy kelp forest and numerous crayfish as Clifton Rocks is just within the protected marine sanctuary. Some other common inhabitants you should keep your eyes open for are nudibranches, soft sponges and starfish.

Clifton Rocks sits only hundred meters offshore 4th beach which has picnic areas, kiosks and showers. You will get to the site by following the bungalow's footpath south of the beach and swimming seawards towards the huge boulders. It is one of those locations where you can start your day sunbathing at the beach and ending with a fabulous dive arranged on the spot.
